THANK YOU

The cooperative that runs The Globe says a big Thank You to all the people who support us in various ways. Without you this community-owned venue would not have been set up in 2014 and would not still be thriving.

Thank you to our members

Well over 200 people have joined the cooperative and bought shares. In total, members have invested over £210,000. Click here to find out more about becoming a member.

Thank you to our volunteers

Most of the work of running The Globe is done by volunteers and we are very grateful. We would not survive without them. Click here to find out more about volunteering at The Globe.

Thank you to our CrowdFunder supporters

In February 2025 we launched a CrowdFunder page and which has raised almost £28,000. The page is still accepting donations. Click here to visit our CrowdFunder page.

As part of the campaign we offered donors the reward of a public Thank You on our website. The majority of the 260 donors chose not to be named. We thank them all. We also say thank you to the following named donors: Angela Robinson, Clare Bloom, Ilona Buchroth, Alan Bagnall, Gerry Tomlinson, Char Marvell, Michael Duncan, Isobel Buddo, Elizabeth Clarke, Jade Broadhead, Sarah Gray, Wesley Stephenson, Jazz North-East, Elizabeth Hidson, Lawrence Brown, Owen Jones, David Elliott, Dinesh Kumar, Steve Murray, T Kurdi, Caroline Mitchell, Dr. Hannabiell Sanders, Andy Logan, Karen Rann, Keith Barrett, Helen Scott, Lesley Jane Moses, Nigel Robson, Shaz Rahman, David Manners, Alan Dixon, Elliott Reid, Genesis John Villaflor Gonzales, Emily Josephine Perella, Gillian Kester, Sandra Watt, Godo, Jack Cousins, Tony Bave, David Sanderson, Hugh Williamson, Stephen Ferrell, Debra Milne.

Thank you to our other donors

Many people donate money in other ways. Some put cash in the tin on the bar, some make a donation when they buy tickets, some set up regular donations from their bank accounts, some promoters organise fund raisings events for The Globe and some bands waive their fees.

Please consider making a small donation to our community owned music venue.
