After Luke Jackson’s very successful inaugural Globe appearance in 2023 – his first North East gig since 2018 – this is another opportunity to see the hugely talented Canterbury-based UK singer-songwriter perform in an intimate setting.
2022 turned out to be one of Luke’s most successful years yet starting with a prestigious support slot opening for Fairport Convention on their Winter Tour in February, a dream run of openers for Richard Thompson, two weeks songwriting and performing in Nashville, including a show at the iconic Bluebird Cafe, a run of shows supporting the legendary Marillion and to finish off the year, several openers with the wonderful Jools Holland.
2023 was another exciting year seeing the release of his new single ‘The Wire’ and a performance at the Royal Albert Hall supporting Jools Holland.
2024 sees amongst other things the launch of a new studio album and more live touring.
In short, Luke continues to go from strength to strength gaining status and stature and an enviable reputation for himself on the Folk, Roots, Americana & Acoustic circuits.
He has been described as a force of nature on stage and this is guaranteed to be another unforgettable evening in the company of this exceptional singer-songwriter.
“Blessed with one of those soulful, heaven-sent voices that soars with emotion or plunges into brooding intensity.” – The Musician Magazine
“He is one of the most distinctive voices, both literally and figuratively, on the contemporary folk scene.” – Folk Radio UK
