We have put together a programme of Blues, Americana, Folk-Rock, and Jazz, featuring superb performers from North East England and beyond!
FRIDAY 29 JULY (doors 7pm) Ticket £12
Elsie Franklin (8pm)
From York, Elsie Franklin sings acoustic blues, folk and jazz, accompanied by her resonator guitar.
Liam Ward & Malcolm Thorne (9pm)
Liam Ward and Malcolm Thorne combine the authentic blues sound with rich lyrical originals to serve up a modern take on the classic harp-guitar duo. Together these young men will take you on a compelling and memorable musical journey.
The King Bees (10pm)
Surely the North East’s hottest, most authentic sounding 1950s Chicago Blues style group, featuring wild harmonica and guitar licks.

Bubamara (5pm)
Folk exotica polka bandits Bubamara are a four piece based in Darlington with songs and tunes which conjure the the mediterranean hash dens, cabarets, brothels and prisons of the fin-de-siècle
The Most Ugly Child (6:30pm)
The Most Ugly Child play country music the way it’s supposed to be, with battered hearts on their sleeves. The band centre around the songwriting partnership of Daniel Wright and Stevie-Leigh Goodison, backed by Max Johnson (Bass), Matt Cutler (Drums) and guitar virtuoso, Alex Farran.
Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra (8pm)
Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra don’t care what genre you choose to put them in – Western Swing, Blues, Country, Rock & Roll or whatever else– as long as you understand that they’re 100% sincere and 100% immersed in this stuff. This is no lazy pastiche, no dressing up box. They live and breathe this music and want you to get immersed with them.
Holy Moly & The Crackers (9:30pm)
Holy Moly & The Crackers are the innovative and fiery folk-rockers from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, who bombastically mash together unique flavours of Americana, rock and indie with a circus punk edge, and have become renowned for their blazing live shows.
DJ Stagger Lee (10:30pm-late)
Newcastle’s favourite DJ of cross-genre bangers…soul, funk, reggae, and more!
SUNDAY 31 JULY (doors 3pm) Ticket £15

Dean Stockdale Trio (4pm)
Recognised as a foremost exponent of straight ahead jazz piano, DeanStockdale brings his trio to the Globe for a concert featuring arrangements of American Songbook repertoire plus pieces from his biggest influences including Oscar Peterson, Gene Harris and Bill Evans. The music will also feature original compositions from both of his acclaimed trio albums. With Mick Shoulder on bass and Abbie Finn drums.
Alice Grace Quartet (5:30pm)
A vocal-led jazz quartet, characterised by thoughtful melodies, snappy inter-play and improvisation. With a choice of repertoire inspired by the greats of the bebop era and the contemporary sounds of artists such as Chick Corea and Norma Winstone.
Julian Costello Quartet (7pm)
Julian Costello is a London-based musician, composer and teacher. Julian writes the music for various ensembles and tries to approach life with humour. This International quartet is energetic, melodic and performs with humour. It features some great musicians, Julian Costello – sax, Patrick Naylor – guitar, Eric Ford – drums.
Knats (8:30pm)
Knats are Newcastle’s newest jazz quartet full of spark and commitment… They pack a punch and are set to continue making jazz waves in the north east and beyond!
