You can own a stake in The Globe, have a say in how it’s run, join teams of volunteers, and stand for the board.
Here are options to buy 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1,000 shares.
If you want to invest a different amount, or if you need more information, please click HERE.
For as little as £50 you can be a joint owner of a music venue.
The Globe is owned by a cooperative. We want new people to join the coop and help run it.
As a member you will have a voice in what happens at The Globe. You will be welcome to join the teams of volunteers helping with gigs, promotion, maintenance, finance, bar work and other tasks. You can also offer to join the board of directors (and you’d be made very welcome).
Most of all, you will be supporting a local community cultural asset.
To join the coop, you need to buy shares. The minimum amount is £50 and you can invest more (either now or later).
You can buy shares via this website. Once you’ve completed your purchase you will be able to download a document with more information about the running of The Globe. In the following week you should receive an email welcoming you to the coop.
WARNING – When you buy shares you must bear in mind that your investment is at risk. If the business fails you might lose some, or all of the money you have invested. No shares may be withdrawn at present. This means you should think of buying shares as a way of showing your commitment to the coop rather than as a financial investment.
The cooperative that owns the The Globe is called Jazz.Coop and you can find out more about it and about buying shares on its website.
