A series of regular Ukulele events, showcasing different talent from the thriving North East community scene. Each month, a different local Ukulele band (and smaller offshoots of that band) will perform a set followed by an informal jam session led by the group. What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon?
After a first visit involving a power cut, a curbside gas leak and the Great North Run, we’re delighted to invite back for our Ukes @ The Globe Christmas Party, the wonderful Misspent Uke.
Misspent Uke – “not your average ukulele band” – are a multi-instrument band of singers and musicians. Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, they have been performing in Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, Co Durham, Cumbria and Teesside since 2007.
Band members also lead and provide the “musical backbone” of “Ukes4Fun” ukulele sessions at The Cumberland Arms, Byker/Ouseburn. The Attic Band is an integral part of Misspent Uke gigs.
“Always entertaining, we are happiest when everyone is having as good a time as us! See our videos to get an idea – we showcase music and songs from a wide range of genres across the ages, both familiar and delightfully unexpected!”

So come along and bring your Uke or feel free to just listen, the choice is yours.
