We may be DISTANCED, but we are coming LIVE back in the room as well as DIRECT to your LIVING ROOM for a night of CONNECTION, sharing STORIES, amplifying VOICES, bringing HOPE, not isolation in turbulent times.
Winner of BBC Radio 3 ‘New Voice’ award, European slam finalist and support artist for Dr. John Cooper Clarke. She writes darkly humorous poetry rooted in word-witchery and the working class, that makes the ugly beautiful and the mundane fantastical. She has two collections published by Verve Poetry Press and Nymphs & Thugs spoken word label.
Combining ‘Superb political comedy’ (The Scotsman) with surreal storytelling and a worldview that upends ethnicity, culture and class, Raul Kohli has is one of the most captivating comedians on the circuit. His Edinburgh Fringe show ‘Newcastle Brown Male’ was one of BBC Radio 4, The Huffington Post & the Skinny’s top picks of the Fringe 2016, while his most recent: ‘All My Heroes Are Dead, in Jail or Touched Up Your Nan’ was nominated for Best Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival 2019. From Hackney to Sunderland, Reali-T is one of most engaging rappers in the North –East, mixing comedic rhymes and punchline driven wordplay. Following his debut album ‘Stay Tuned’, which smashed it beyond all expectations, Reali-T will be performing exclusive tracks of his yet to drop 2nd album – ‘Commercial Break’.
Poet and painter who likes to dip all proverbial toes in the very silly and very serious all at once and see what happens. They’ve been seen in poetry, art and comedy venues a’plenty before the Tories decided expression wasn’t “essential”. This year, they’ve been facilitating writing workshops and making radio shows and drawing a lot of lemons. JM’s favourite snippet from a review thus far described them as “saucy and irreverent” and, hell, add in “usually covered in cat hair” and that’s good enough for any bio hereafter.

There are a limited number of tickets available for people to be at the gig in the venue. These must be bought in advance. No tickets will be available on the door. There are guidelines that will be explained when you arrive. Doors open at 45 minutes before the scheduled start time and you need to be seated by 15 minutes before the start.
