The Lydia Rae Quintet was born out of a shared love for the works of the Great American songbook reimagined with jazz. Joined by Sam Lightwing (Sax) and Ben Lawrence (Piano), the three collaborate with exciting twists on old show tunes as well as originals by Lydia Rae. For this performance, they will be accompanied by Andy Champion (Double Bass) and John Bradford (Drums). Get ready for familiar tunes from the repertoire of Cole Porter, Rogers & Hammerstein, Blossom Dearie and Stephen Sondheim.
“It was refreshing to listen to a young musician taking on such material…it is clear Lydia Rae had done her homework” – Russell Corbett
