Oct 16 – The Globe Showcase (Mercury Prize Fringe)

As part of Newcastle City Council’s support for the Mercury Prize Fringe, every Fringe gig is Pay As You Feel – making incredible live music accessible to everyone. Every penny contributed goes directly back to the local venues hosting the programme, helping strengthen the spaces that keep our city’s music scene alive year-round.

The Globe’s Mercury prize fringe showcase is a celebration of musical diversity in Newcastle, showcasing the kind of emerging artists The Globe exists to support. The gig is headlined by Sophie Gordon‘s bands own brand of disco/funk and pop with support coming from the electronic influences of RYE, Art Student sounds of The Combovers and Folk-Punk songwriting Of Jade Mia Broadhead. The event will end with a DJ set from Visra.
AGE RESTRICTIONS Children and young people under 16 years old may attend events accompanied by an adult (age over 18). They are not allowed to enter the premises after 9pm and they must leave the premises by midnight. Under 16s are not allowed to purchase soft drinks, but they may consume soft drinks bought for them by their accompanying adult. 16 and 17 year olds are allowed to attend events unaccompanied by an adult and they may purchase soft drinks. They must leave the premises by midnight.
