The Graham Hardy Eclectic Quartet features some of the North East’s most talented and in demand jazz musicians, brought together in a new line up to play a diverse programme of exciting music featuring fresh takes on some standards and repertoire outside of the jazz genre as well as original compositions.
In a review of the first gig at Durham’s Gala Theatre, it was described as “a stunning debut by a new band on the north east scene” by Bebop Spoken Here jazz blog, who also reviewed the second gig stating “Given the calibre of musicians on stage, it goes without saying that, as a unit, the Eclectic Quartet is of the A-list variety and the many solos – shared across the band – were never less than impeccable.”
Graham Hardy – Trumpet/Flugelhorn
Ben Lawrence – Piano
Andy Champion – Bass
John Bradford – Drums
