Local jazz vocalist, Eva Fox, having made her debut in the ‘Newcomer’ slot at The Globe in December 2023, has been performing regularly at the Prohibition Bar in Newcastle this past year and recently at Black Swan’s ‘Jazz Cafe Presents’. She is joined by seasoned musicians on the local jazz scene, Jude Murphy on bass/sax, Steve Chambers on keyboard and Sid White on drums, as a newly formed jazz ensemble.
This band embrace the swinging rhythms of the Great American Songbook era, and also take inspiration from the modern stylings of jazz vocalists Diana Krall, Melody Gardot and Madeleine Peyroux, with an eclectic set of jazz-styled 60s-70s tunes with a few blues and contemporary pop variations.
