Golden Grenades Collective present a very special night of songs and music with Fyfe Dangerfield and Hector Gannet.
Fyfe Dangerfield is the founding member of Guillemots, who with singles ‘Made-Up Lovesong #43’, ‘Trains To Brazil’, ‘Kriss Kross’ and ‘Walk the River’ found a cult following, critical acclaim and commercial success. Their gold-selling debut albumThrough The Windowpanereceived a Mercury Prize nomination, and playing umpteen shows and festival appearances earned them a Best Live Band nomination at the 2007 BRIT awards.
Through his own Channels May Change multimedia creative platform, Fyfe has continued to release music, including his much-loved Birdwatcher project. In recent times, he’s released three new singles – ‘Shook’, ‘The Zebra Wind’ and ‘SFJ’- and collaborated with Stornoway, anatu and Girlhood.
Join us as Fyfe plays a rare solo headline set of songs past, present and future on piano and guitar, that promises to be a very special and intimate performance.
He may even play the odd request!
A very special guest solo support set comes from North Shields singer-songwriter, Aaron Duff AKA Hector Gannet. Following the release of critically acclaimed debut album Big Harcar in 2020, Aaron and Hector Gannet have toured widely supporting the likes of Richard Thompson, Sam Fender, Sea Power and Kathryn Williams whilst selling out their own shows, notably at The Sage and Whitley Bay Playhouse.
Aaron and Hector Gannet look set to continue to win over audiences playing as special guests of Elbow at the Mouth of the Tyne Festival in July.
