TALES are a four-piece alt-rock/indie rock band hailing from Sunderland and Newcastle. Michael Goodfellow (vocals and guitar) and Colin Wan (drums) both met whilst studying at Newcastle University. There, they brought along fellow friends and Newcastle students Eliott Brown (bass) and Sam Fisher (lead guitar) to form TALES in September 2018. Since then, they have performed across Newcastle and grown their fanbase. Their first single, ‘Amitriptyline’ was released in September 2019. TALES recorded their second single, ‘Muscle Memory’, released in the summer of 2020. This earned the band their first radio airtime through ‘BBC Introducing North East.
TALES would go onto release four further singles in the following years; ‘Nosedive’, ‘What We Talk About’, ‘Icarus’, and ‘Charlie and the Kid’, receiving further radio coverage and featuring in NARC magazine. TALES continue to gig and write new music to this day, always keen for a rocking show.
