Opportunities for volunteers
The Globe is such a welcoming place because it is owned by a community cooperative and run by staff and volunteers dedicated to making music.
You can help run the venue and the bar and pick up some useful skills along the way. Our volunteers may help behind the bar, set out the venue, welcome our guests or act as sound and lighting engineers. They also help maintain the building and equipment to a high standard and help promote our events and learning programmes.
As either a bar or front-of-house helper you get to see a wide variety of live acts for free. Or as someone involved in our ‘back room’ support functions you get the satisfaction of seeing the business moving forwards based on your own efforts and those of the wider Globe team.
All we are asking is a few hours a month of your time. You know what? You’ll make some new friends too!
If you would like get involved with voluntary work at The Globe please email volunteers@theglobenewcastle.bar.
