Friday 2 July: 17:00 – 18:30
A special workshop with Amelia Coburn before her performance at The Globe at 20:00
Amelia has a distinctive style in everything she does and this workshop will give you some insight into how that ticks! From relatively simple two-chord wonders through to complex finger picking and jazz-based chord inversions you’ll learn about the process of choosing and playing chords in songwriting via her own original compositions.
Joined by her manager and sometimes co-writer Andy Johnson they’ll also shine a light on life as an emerging artist, finding an audience, pitching music to radio, press and venues and how they write collaboratively.
All in an interactive environment with plenty of opportunities to grill them both and explore some of the techniques yourself.
