Sir Jac’s Bantamacs are an outfit from Newcastle’s roots music scene, comprising Rob Heron (Tea Pad Orchestra) on vocals and acoustic guitar, Tim Bloomer on electric guitar, and Ted Harbot on upright bass. Together they play early Rock & Roll classics, Rockabilly rarities, and Hillbilly boogies.
Their raw sound is reminiscent of the early Sun Records releases. In December 2016, they recorded a 13 track album of 1950s cover versions which gained rave reviews across the European Rockabilly circuit and led to the band appearing at venues across the UK, Ireland, Finland, France and Switzerland.

A livestream ticket costs £7.50. You may like to pay more if you are feeling generous or if there is more than one person watching. This would be really welcome at this difficult time when income for musicians and venues is drastically reduced.
AT THE GLOBE (when permitted)
There are a limited number of tickets available for people to be at the gig in the venue. These must be bought in advance. No tickets will be available on the door. Ticket holders will be allocated a table according to the number of people in their group. After you buy tickets you will be sent an email containing a link to download a pdf file with information about our procedures to reduce the risk of spreading infection. This will confirm that you are on the guest list.
We are making every effort to ensure that customers feel welcome, comfortable and safe. We are providing table service and only accepting contactless payments. There are guidelines that will be explained when you arrive. Doors open at 45 minutes before the scheduled start time and you need to be seated by 15 minutes before the start.
Please note that local regulations only permit people from the same household to share a table. This information was correct when this event was first listed. Please be aware that local regulations can change at short notice.
