Earning comparisons to the likes of Belle & Sebastian, Teenage Fanclub and Real Estate, Mt. Misery’s music is imbued with wistful melodies and sepia tinted charm.
Initially a solo-project for Hartlepool based multi-instrumentalist Andrew Smith, Mt. Misery ‘officially’ became a band in early 2019 and quickly became firm favourites of the North East indie-pop fraternity.
Sharing stages with the likes of Johnny Marr, Paul Smith, Bill Ryder Jones, and Plastic Mermaids, Mt. Misery’s endearing vocals and shimmering guitars made them a must-see act at some of the North East’s top festivals including: This Is Tomorrow, Twisterella, and Tipping Point.

A livestream ticket costs £7.50. You may like to pay more if you are feeling generous or if there is more than one person watching. This would be really welcome at this difficult time when income for musicians and venues is drastically reduced.
AT THE GLOBE (when permitted)
There are a limited number of tickets available for people to be at the gig in the venue. These must be bought in advance. No tickets will be available on the door. Ticket holders will be allocated a table according to the number of people in their group. After you buy tickets you will be sent an email containing a link to download a pdf file with information about our procedures to reduce the risk of spreading infection. This will confirm that you are on the guest list.
We are making every effort to ensure that customers feel welcome, comfortable and safe. We are providing table service and only accepting contactless payments. There are guidelines that will be explained when you arrive. Doors open at 45 minutes before the scheduled start time and you need to be seated by 15 minutes before the start.
Please note that local regulations only permit people from the same household to share a table. This information was correct when this event was first listed. Please be aware that local regulations can change at short notice.
