Dee Byrne (Alto Saxophone) Nick Malcolm (Trumpet) Rebecca Nash (Piano) Olie Brice (Double Bass) Andrew Lisle (Drums) + Very Special Guest for Newcastle: John Pope (Bass)
Outlines is Dee Byrne’s new project, playing her original compositions that evolved out of a
creative experiment: introducing visual art into her composition practice. Out of this, short musical sketches emerged that stood alone as artistic statements. These short statements are ‘Outlines’ – a springboard for this dynamic ensemble to go in new, exciting directions every time.
It’s a great pleasure for Jazz North East to invite Outlines to Newcastle in support of their new
album to be released on Whirlwind Recordings in June 2023.
