Hannah Robinson – Oscillating between evocative indie rock and shoegaze brilliance, Newcastle-based dreamgaze artist Hannah Robinson has hypnotised audiences with her ability to craft music that speaks to vulnerability and self-discovery. Merging her dark and ethereal sound through the dreaminess of bands such as Beach House, Mazzy Star, Slowdive and Warpaint, she continues to pull gothic melodic presences into the pop world, garnering international attention with her latest singles. Since forming her band in 2022, they have made a mark on their local scene and beyond, selling out their debut headliner and kicking 2023 off with their own Independent Venue Week gig, having notable support slots with swim school, Moon Panda and Yumi And The Weather, as well as playing amongst a mass of emerging talent at festivals such as Stockton Calling and Generator Live Fringe (curated by Paul Smith of Maximo Park) to name a few. Being tipped as one of BBC Introducing’s ones to watch in 2023, Hannah leaves nothing to be desired; labelled as Newcastle’s next dreamgaze rockstar.
